You may have seen the story in the news recently in which a wily 9-year-old hopped on a plane for Sin City, sans ticket, without being detected by security. Well, KFGO Radio reports that news has come out today that shows this young man is no stranger to trouble.
The boy, whose name has not been released due to his age, has reportedly been investigated by child protection workers four times since December, 2012. The young man has had several run-ins with the the law, including being arrested for driving a stolen vehicle on Interstate 35 as recently as last week and was caught breaking into a water park shortly before that.
The boy’s mother works at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport, and authorities are still investigating whether she had anything to do with the boy’s recent impromptu vacation. Although he is too young to be charged with any crime, authorities are seeking a mental health evaluation for the boy, who has a history of behavioral issues. They report that the boy may be removed from his home.
