There’s no place like home — but in this case, that may not ring true. On Thursday, a FBI task force located seven missing children with their father, Xa Yang, reports ABC News. The Yang children, ages 5 to 12, had disappeared from their home in Fresno for several days after their mother and stepfather left them alone at home while they went to the grocery store. When the parents returned home, the kids and their clothing were gone despite the fact that there had been no signs of forced entry.
Xa, who police were unable to contact during the ordeal, has been estranged from his family for the last three years, but it is unclear why he took the children when he did without notifying their mom. In the meantime, he is not being detained, but the authorities are investigating to determine if he committed a crime.
We’re just happy that the children were never in danger and were found in great spirits.
