Is there anything Beyonce can’t do perfectly? She has killer pipes, dances like a goddess, and is probably really cool and nice. And now, to top it all off, Beyonce has basically admitted to having a perfect delivery of baby Blue Ivy. Come on!
Ever since B revealed that she found giving birth to be “emotional and extremely peaceful,” we just want to know her secret because our delivery wasn’t what we’d call peaceful. Intense? Definitely. Painful? You bet. But peaceful? Umm, no!
“I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door,” Beyonce tells Vogue in the March issue. “And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn’t think about my own pain…We were talking.”
Wow! The only talking going on in our delivery room was the doctor telling us to push and us responding with a bunch of grunts and screams. But then again, we’re not Beyonce.
One thing we love about Beyonce is how open she’s been about her postpartum body. Never one to apologize for her shape — not that she’d ever have to with the way she looks — B says, “Right now, after giving birth, I really understand the power of my body, I just feel my body means something completely different. I feel a lot more confident about it. Even being heavier, thinner, whatever. I feel a lot more like a woman. More feminine, more sensual. And no shame.”
