What do you get the baby who has everything? Why, baby perfume, of course! And no, we’re not kidding.
According to The Sun, luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana plans to launch a scent for children that supposedly captures “the innocence of childhood” (whatever the heck that smells like!).
Apparently the perfume contains no alcohol, and along with innocence, also smells like “the softness of baby skin, the freshness of baby breath, a mother’s sweet hug, the first smile…” according to D&G. We don’t know about you, but the only time our hugs smell is when we haven’t had a chance to shower because, well, we’re moms. The perfume will sell for £28 (about $44).
It’s enough trying to powder and douse our adult selves in a fresh scent, so we can’t say that we’ll be clamoring to perfume our babies. (After all, they’re literally born with that new baby smell!)
Truth be told, D&G is not the first brand to add steps to our tot’s pampering routine. Did you know that Johnson & Johnson, the Old Faithful of baby products, came out with a scent for babies a while back? It’s called Johnson & Johnson Baby Cologne, and it’s available at Target.
So tell us — would you use perfume on your tot? Let us know in the comments below!
