It won’t. Come. Off! Our glitter polish looks so fab when it’s on, but as soon as we decide to go for another color or it starts to chip off, it is such a chore to get off. It’s like those glitter chunks are permanently nestled into our cuticles. We love glitter as much as the next Elle Woods, but sometimes, it has to go!

Thankfully, Jaimen Sfetko did a short little video for Refinery 29 on her two best tips on how to remove the pesky polish. Yeah, not one, but two ways to remove the grating glitter. All right, we’ll stop, and here are her tips! Check out Jaimen’s video here.

Just wiping nail polish remover over the nail could take forever, so instead, generously apply the remover to a small strip of cloth, wrap it around your nail, and then seal it with a small strip of aluminum foil. We’re assuming this leads to a sort of marinating process for your polish. After five minutes, remove the wrap by wiggling it from your nail, and your polish should come off cleanly!

Jaimen’s second trick is useful for those one-night wonders where you just want that glamorous glitter for a single night out. She says apply a coat of Elmer’s Glue as a base coat (yep, you read that right!), then follow as usual with two coats of your desired polish and a top coat. The next day, you should be able to just peel the glitter off neatly, thanks to the glue!

These tips just blew our mind, and we’re definitely going to try them out soon. Have you tried these amazing solutions to the pesky glitter polish? Will you? Tell us below!
