Hilary Duff on Why It’s So Hard to Go Back to Work After Having Baby Luca

It’s something every working mom struggles with: balancing the yearning to stay at home with your baby with the need to get back to work. Hilary Duff, mom to Luca, who will be a year old in March, has opened up about how tough it is to be away from her baby.

“It’s hard to be away [from Luca],” she revealed to Life & Style. “I did a guest spot on Raising Hope…. I was so happy to be on a set again…but it was hard. I also had a day of [thinking darkly], I need to get home — what am I doing away from my baby?”

While Hilary says being a first-time mom has been an “adjustment,” she’s getting used to balancing it all and is really enjoying being a parent alongside her husband, NHL player Mike Comrie.
 
Back in December, she tweeted, "Having a child is so special! I know it's not NYE yet but I'm just thinking about my year and feeling so blessed for my precious boy❤ &Mike!"
