‘Tis the season to totally stress over buying presents! If you’re not sure where to start, we’ve done your homework for you. So get your shopping list ready, because we got schooled by teachers about the coolest — and most appreciated — gifts that they’d like to receive this year.

Food
Skip the sausage of the month club (pretty please, don’t do it), and try sweet treats, like Carol’s Cookies, for a guaranteed home run gift. Even the strictest dieter caves during the holidays and we can almost guarantee good grades in exchange for these mouthwatering babies (wink, wink). Yes, they’re that good.

Group Gift
Don’t want the PTA gossiping about your solo present? Get a group together — preferably each family in your class — and pool your dollars for a slightly extravagant appreciation gift like theater tickets or a spa gift certificate. Even teachers need a spa break from the kids.

Handwritten Notes
One teacher, who received an expensive designer handbag as a gift one year, said cards are much better than stuff — even Louis Vuitton. So we save a small fortune and our teachers feel appreciated. Everyone’s a winner!

Money
Give a gift that makes total cents (see what we did there?) like Visa or American Express gift cards. You might not know what your kids’ teachers want for the holidays, but if they’re anything like us, they have a must-have wish list a mile long. Letting them decide for themselves is totally thoughtful!

A Little Something
If your school has a no-gifts-allowed policy but you still want to show your teachers that you care, try something simple like a charity donation in their honor, or buy classroom supplies so teachers don’t have to go out of pocket. A little something will mean a whole lot!
