Moms everywhere (or maybe just Wetpaint Moms) are pausing to process Jessica Alba’s trick for losing her baby weight. Double corsets? Really?
The 31-year-old mom of two recently opened up to Net-a-Porter about her interesting secret to losing weight. After having two daughters — Honor, 5, and Haven, 2 — Jessica knew there was no time to waste in getting back in shape for her midriff-bearing reprise of Nancy Callahan in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (due for release in October 2013).
"I wore a double corset day and night for three months. It was sweaty, but worth it." Jessica said. "It was brutal; it's not for everyone."
That’s an understatement! We’ve worn a corset before for high school dances and such, and that was hard enough to sit, dance, and breathe in. We cannot even fathom wearing one, let alone two, girdles while eating, sleeping, running after toddlers, living her generally hectic Hollywood lifestyle, and — dare we say — having sex? We sincerely hope she gave herself a break from the laces while making love. Then again, maybe hubby Cash Warren is into that?
What we really wanna know is how exactly does the corset help you lose weight? Is it just intended to hold things in place while you diet to make sure your toned tummy doesn’t sag? Is it intended to squeeze your stomach like an external Lap Band to restrict consumption?
