In an interview with TODAY on January 15, Kim Kardashian opened up about why she was shocked to learn she was pregnant: She has struggled with fertility issues just like her sister, Khloe.

"Khloe has been very open about her fertility issues, and I think I was always really kind of quiet about mine," Kim said. "I have similar issues, and so it was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens... I think it's just such a blessing knowing my circumstances." Khloe has struggled with having a child of her own with her husband, NBA star Lamar Odom.

Kim, who is due with her first child in July, was accompanied to the interview by her sister Kourtney, her co-star in the upcoming season of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami.

If you’ve ever watched their reality shows, you know that this is a close family. But we had no idea how close! Kim claims sister Kourtney suggested that just like one sister should babysit all the kids to give each mom some time off, whichever sister is on duty should also handle breastfeeding for all of the kids during her watch.

While Kourtney denies making the suggestion, she also doesn’t seem to think it’s freaky. After all, they did it in the olden days, so why not in 2013?

Hmmm, we have to think about this one. On one hand, if we needed someone else to nurse our kids, our own sister would definitely be on the top of our very short list.

On the other hand, it sounds physically demanding and Kim and Kourt might be counting their milk production before it comes in. As many new moms learn, a heavy flow isn’t something to take for granted. Some moms can’t produce enough for their own babies, and those that do produce, make just enough for their own kids, so the idea of doing it for a family the size of the Kardashians sounds exhausting!
