When Joyce Slaton’s daughter Violet refused to wear clothes for over a month, her mom thought that Violet was just being overly-finicky or going through a phase. She wasn’t.

What she would come to learn is that her daughter suffered from Sensory Processing Disorder, a condition which made Violet overly stimulated, sometimes painfully so, by something as innocuous as a clothing tag. Once Joyce had Violet properly diagnosed and found ways to cope with the disorder, the frustrations and tears on both sides finally ended.

Watch this super informative, yet adorably rendered video, The Emporer's New Onesie, to hear Violet’s story as told by her mom!
