We are so in love with this national charity called Pilots N Paws, which flies newly adopted shelter pooches to their forever homes, saving the pups from hours of uncomfortable car rides.
In this new video, you can watch as some adorable labrador puppies are united with their forever families. It helps that the pups are freakin’ adorable!
The charity acts through an online discussion board allowing volunteer pilots and private plane owners to connect with expectant families of shelter dogs to coordinate transport of the animals to their new homes across the country.
On their blog, Pilots N Paws shares a few tear-jerker stories of rescue dogs who have found new families following troubled times, as well as some stories of the volunteers’ work and dedication.
One volunteer, retired air force Lt. Col. Mark Reyner, and his wife Daryl flew Chesapeake Bay Retriever pup Tiny to his new home in Arizona from New Mexico, saving him 16 hours of ground transportation, food, fuel, and an overnight stay.
