Move over, breastfeeding — there's a new public etiquette controversy in town. A diner lost her appetite at a Utah deli recently when she noticed a fellow mother potty training her twin daughters at the table. As seen on Gawker, the girls were sitting on what she thought were booster seats, but turned out to be portable potties, eating chicken nuggets au naturale with their pink jumpsuits down to their ankles.
It's no secret that getting your kid off the old diapers is one of the most challenging tasks you will face as a parent. And any mother who has succeeded in graduating her children to the bowl will tell you that consistency is key. Maybe keeping up with practice is a good idea no matter where you are?
Then again, besides the obvious sanitary objections, do you really want to send your kid a message that making doodies at the dinner table is appropriate? Or that dropping trou at a restaurant is acceptable behavior?
