Marisa Martinez quite possibly saved a little boy’s life recently when she stopped him from being abducted by a registered sex offender.
According to KCRA 3, Marisa was playing basketball with two friends when registered sex offender John Jenkins approached the group and attempted to snatch an 8-year-old boy from their driveway.
Acting quickly, Marisa yelled for her mom and pulled at the kidnapper, admonishing him to let the boy go.
Marisa told KCRA 3, "I was really scared. (But) my instinct was to go and help him."
It’s a good thing she did! This hero teen should be commended for her quick thinking in this potentially dangerous situation. As Marisa’s mom, Kristen Martinez, puts it, “I’m very proud of her.”
The sex offender was arrested shortly after this incident and now faces kidnapping and molestation charges.
