When tragedies occur, it just makes us want to hold our families as tight as possible, for their sake and our own. If you are looking for ways to spend a little extra time with yours today, here are three ideas to get you started:

Cook Dinner From Scratch
Preparing a meal together from scratch takes a lot of teamwork, patience, and lots of together time. Work as a team to create a delicious feast, or have each member of the family prepare a single dish. Bust out one of Grandma's old recipes, or cruise your favorite blogs for something new to try. Extra points for creativity and even more for healthy choices!

Make A New Photo Album
Kids love looking at pictures, and we’re sure you probably have a hard drive full of photos that you’ve been meaning to print out and organize. Stock up on photo paper and printer ink, and go through memories together! Even better, get an album for each family member so they can make their own.

Living Room Slumber Party
Popcorn, sleeping bags and movies! That’s basically all you need to have some serious fun in your own living room. Clear the couches and tables so that you can all line up on the floor. Let each kid pick out a flick and see who can stay up latest. Make sure there’s lots of snuggles and laughter.
