We weren’t all that surprised when we read Reuters’ report on Huffington Post that the former Spice Girl turned mom of four turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham feels her life is a “juggling act.” Honestly, we feel that way just getting ready for the daily commute each morning! We couldn’t imagine filling our calendars with all of this woman’s high profile events, projects, meetings, and play dates, and then trying to make our incredibly famous husband’s soccer games without feeling strung out.
"The children are my priority and always have been and always will be, so it's a little bit of a juggling act," Victoria told the Vogue Festival at London's Royal Festival Hall recently. "I really enjoy being a mum, I love my kids more than anything, but I love doing what I do as well and it's just getting the balance right which is not easy, at all."
News flash: It’s not supposed to be easy! Taking care of yourself is difficult enough, and as moms, it’s normal that some of our needs come after our kids’. To tell the truth, it’s nice to hear from a celeb mom that their life isn’t all glamorous red carpet events and leisurely dates with the elliptical. Especially when it comes to the seemingly perfect Victoria Beckham, who has the body, the fashion line, and the husband we all want, we kinda like to hear that she has a tough time keeping it all together sometimes.
While we’re at it, it’s also nice to hear about and see her and her kids — sons Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, and Cruz, 8, and 21-month-old daughter Harper — enjoying quality time together. Most recently, we’ve spotted her out to dinner with her sons Romeo and Cruz, visiting The Arts Club in London with baby Harper, and out with the whole family for lunch in Paris, and that was just the latter part of April!
Honestly, Victoria seems like a great mum, and she probably doesn’t have anything to worry about. She should just keep sprinkling in the family time around her professional endeavors and maybe add in a teensy weensy Spice Girl reunion album real fast. Just real fast.
