The Queen of Pop has not one, but two adopted children — David Banda and Mercy James — in addition to her two natural born children, Lourdes, 15, and Rocco, 11. Little David was adopted by the singer in 2006 at age 13 months, and then in 2009 Madonna welcomed 3-year-old Mercy to the family. However, controversy surrounded the pop singer’s Malawi-based adoptions, but after a very public struggle with the children’s biological families, Madge was finally able to bring her children home. Discussing her family life with The Grio she says, “I’m not going to lie — it’s hard work having four kids and doing all the work I do.
