Don’t get us wrong — we’re super upset that Dianna Agron’s (Quinn) days as a series regular on Glee are a thing of the past, but we’re also incredibly proud and happy that the 28-year-old actress has gone on to have a series of great film roles.
From her starring role in 2011’s I Am Number Four to her turn as Robert DeNiro’s daughter in The Family, we’ve grown accustomed to seeing Dianna pop up on the big screen now and then.
Dianna has a few films that she’s been working on in recent months and one of them, A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island, is set to have its premiere this fall in Chicago.
Splash magazine sat down with the flick’s director, Aram Rappaport, and he talked about what the Windy City means to him. “Coming to [Chicago] as a child gave me the vibe for the city,” he said, noting that he would take regular summer trips to the major city with his father. “It’s what I was thinking inspirationally when I wrote the script.”
A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island is a financial thriller about two characters who attempt to thwart a cyber attack on the US financial system. Dianna plays the role of Amelia Rhondart, and the film also stars Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl), Frank Grillo (Captain America), and Minnie Driver.
Aram has very fond memories of what Dianna was like on set, even recalling one “hilarious” moment involving the former Glee star: “While we were shooting, there was a fight on HBO that Ed Westwick, Frank, and Minnie wanted to watch. They convinced the owners of the house we shot at to let them watch it on the big-screen TV. I go to check up on them, and someone is yelling about the fight, ‘Come on, hit ‘em! Hit ‘em!’ And it’s Dianna! Dianna is freaking out in front of the fight, putting up her fists, aggressively angry at the TV. It was a hilarious moment.”
Ha! Who knew sweet Dianna was so into boxing?
We can’t wait to check out A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island when it’s released this fall, and — if Ryan Murphy has his way — hopefully we’ll be seeing Dianna a bit in Glee’s sixth and final season as well.
Glee Season 6 is expected to debut in 2015.
