There were a few different screen adaptations of The Secret Garden, but 1993's was one of the best. Starring Downton Abbey's Maggie Smith as Mrs. Medlock, the film featured adorable redhead Kate Maberly in the lead role of newly orphaned Mary Lennox.

Surrey, UK-born Kate had a couple of visible roles as a child actress in the '90s, including Glumdalclitch in the 1996 TV movie of Gulliver's Travels — and in 2004, she played Wendy in Finding Neverland! But what is she up to now?

Now 31, Kate is still a working actress across a diverse set of mediums. In addition to film work — like the melodramatic b-movie throwback film The Ghastly Love of Johnny X and the Val Kilmer-led Standing Up — she has appeared in both stage productions and BBC radio plays.

A graduate of Trinity College of Music, Kate is also an active musician. Some of her music can be heard over at her MySpace page, but she also lends her musical talents to both films and events.

As for her personal life, we don't know a whole lot — but we've been seeing her on the arm of One Tree Hill dad Paul Johansson at red carpet events since 2012 and as recently as this summer. Not sayin', just sayin'.
