Emma Roberts's gig on American Horror Story: Coven may be winding up — the season of the FX scarefest concludes tonight — but she already has another job lined up! The actress has just been cast in For the Dogs, an action thriller starring Sam Worthington (Avatar).

The movie will be helmed by Surrogates director Jonathan Mostow, with a script adapted from the Kevin Wignall novel by Paul Leyden and Oren Moverman.

Deadline broke the news of Emma's casting and provided synopsis for the film: "A solitary assassin (Sam Worthington) agrees to help a young woman (Emma Roberts) exact revenge on those who mercilessly murdered her parents and younger brother. His guidance unleashes events that ultimately stoke her thirst for vengeance while he desperately seeks peace and absolution."

Emma replaces True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld, although we haven't heard a reason for the change-up. It may be because Hailee and Sam are already co-starring in another film, the Civil War drama The Keeping Room.

Or maybe the actresses' age plays a factor — Hailee is 17 and Emma is 22.

In any case, Hailee already has another action film in the pipeline: the high school spy film Barely Lethal.

So hey, congrats to both of 'em!
