If you were worried about Tara Reid and Ian Ziering returning for the highly-anticipated Sharknado sequel — Sharknado 2: The Second One — you can rest assured that the duo will be back for another wild ride as April and Fin.

This announcement marks the first casting update for the follow-up to last year’s movie. Syfy is bringing Tara and Ian back to reprise their roles in the sequel, which is expected to premiere in July. For those of you who were obsessed and/or freaked out by the first horror TV flick, expect to get the same cheesiness. Anthony Ferrante, the director, and Thunder Levin, the dude who penned the 2013’s version, will be returning as well.

While the first Sharknado was set in sunny L.A., the sequel will have dangerous winds carrying deadly sharks attacking the Big Apple. We’re already crossing our fingers that Lady Liberty will be spared in this mess.

"We're thrilled to be able to bring back the talent that made Sharknado a hit. Can lightning strike twice?" Paul Bales, Asylum COO, asked. "I don't know, but it's a scientific fact that you're more likely to be killed by lightning than by a shark. This film will have lightning and sharks, so that's got to count for something."

Production for the sequel begins in New York on February 13, just in time to wreak havoc on Valentine’s Day. Get ready, NYC.
