The twins in The Shining might be able to stay young and play "forever and ever," but in real life, the actresses that played them grew up — and got a Twitter account. It's been 34 years since The Shining was first released in 1980, so what do the twins look like now?

Everyone's favorite creepy horror twins were played by real-life twins Louise and Lisa Burns, who were born in 1968 — making them about 46 years old (possibly 47) today! What are they up to?

The pair stayed out of the spotlight after The Shining, and according to a 1999 episode of VH1's Where Are They Now, have lived relatively normal lives. Lisa got a literature degree, and Louise is a microbiologist.

Louise and Lisa decided it was about time to storm back into the public eye in late 2013, and launched Twitter and Facebook accounts in December. As we can see by the photos they post, the sisters are still super-close.

They even booked a convention gig — their first ever! They'll be at Monster-Mania Con in New Jersey, March 7 through March 9.

We all sat up and took notice, though, when they strutted onto the red carpet at the British Film Institute for an anniversary screening of Doctor Strangelove! The pair were all smiles to celebrate the accomplishment of The Shining's director, the late Stanley Kubrick.

Given their recent appearances and social media blitz, we have a feeling we'll be hearing a lot more from these two.
