Use the Force, Troy! The newest Star Wars film is in the process of landing its cast, and rumors have it that Zac Efron just might be in the next film.

Zac is confirming that he indeed is in talks for a role in the forthcoming Star Wars sequel, which would be the seventh film in the franchise.

Zac currently can be seen in the new film That Awkward Moment, and he is best known for his role as Troy in the High School Musical franchise.

"Yeah, I just went and met with [the Star Wars people]," Zac reveals. "So I don't know. It would be cool. I love [the Star Wars movies]. I love them, but … who knows?"

Talk about exciting news! Zac has been more focused on comedy lately, as he is soon to appear in Neighbors, hitting theaters in May.

Other actors rumored to be in talks for roles in the new film include Dame Judi Dench, Friday Night Lights star Jesse Plemons, and Girls star Adam Driver.

We're not sure which role Zac would play, but there's no doubt that he would be better than certain previous Star Wars stars. (Hayden Christensen, anyone?)

Do you think Zac would be a good fit for Star Wars?
