Everyone, it’s happened: The movie of our dreams is being made. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are officially set to play sisters in Universal’s comedy, The Nest, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
How do we know it’s going to be good? Besides the fact that our two favorite ladies of comedy (and the best Hollywood BFFs ever) are joining forces, The Nest will be coming to us from the same director that brought us Pitch Perfect — and Saturday Night Live writer Paula Pell penned the screenplay.
In The Nest, Tina and Amy star as “adult sisters who decide to throw one last massive party in their parents’ house before it’s sold, and in the process, they learn to mature.” Um, sounds awesome — and like perfect roles for our leading ladies.
And of course, the comedic duo both have their hands in the movie beyond just playing the main characters. Tina will produce through her company, Little Stranger, and Amy will executive produce. We're so excited to see the magic of 30 Rock and Parks and Rec to collide.
We’ve been crossing our fingers for another Tina and Amy movie since Baby Mama. Can’t wait!
