It’s been nearly eight months since Paul Walker’s tragic death, and the Fast & Furious cast has been forced to move on without him. While producers have promised fans that the seventh installment will continue as planned, it still won’t be the same without the lead star.

In fact, the producers have gone so far as to incorporate Paul’s brothers, Cody and Caleb, by using them as the late actor's stand-ins. So what was it like when the cast had to return to the Fast & Furious set without their beloved friend?

“We’re not really allowed to say much; they kind of have it under lock and key,” Jordana Brewster tells reporters during the recent Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Summer Fashion Party in New York City.

I finished shooting,” the 34-year-old actress continues. “The lovely thing about this set is that we’ve been working together for so long given what happened, it was nice to work with people that I love so much.”

With the film’s release scheduled for April 10, 2015, producers are working toward wrapping up the movie in a way that will do Paul justice.

“We are just under a year away from the release of Fast & Furious 7, and this film is the most important we’ve ever done together,” reads a message on the Fast & Furious Facebook page. “It will allow the character of Brian O’Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role.”

Long story short, be sure to bring a box of tissues with you when you catch Fast & Furious 7 in theaters next year.
