Nearly eight months after Paul Walker died in a car accident, the movie franchise he helped make famous has wrapped its latest installment. Fast & Furious 7 completed filming this past weekend, reports Us Weekly.
While it’s likely an emotional time for the cast and crew who knew Paul as a member of the family, they still made sure to celebrate the great accomplishment.
A wrap party held on July 12 in Hollywood featured the film’s biggest stars, including Paul’s brothers, Cody and Caleb, who helped fill his shoes.
Actor Tyrese Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in the film, posted a slew of photos from the event, including a nice snap of him alongside Cody. It’s a sweet picture but, we have to admit, Cody looks so much like Paul that it’s a bit jarring.
“#Fast7 Wrap Party........ Emotional and bittersweet.....,” Tyrese captioned one of the evening’s photos. “In the end you always got #Family @codyWalkerCaleb Walker and Director Great.... James Wan...... Through prayers and determination and moving forward inspired by my heart Paul Walker we got through..... The BEST CAST AND CREW IN THE WORLD.... The fans and supporters around the world... We LOVE YOU...... I wanna dedicate this moment to my niece Meadow Walker.... Uncle Ty loves you..... April 3rd the were gonna unleash this magic on the world................ I miss you heart.... I miss you P-Dub!!!!”
Couldn’t have said it better ourselves, Ty.
Fast & Furious 7 premieres on April 3, 2015.
