Sound of Music Movie
There’s a reason why so many people were skeptical going into Carrie Underwood’s live revival of The Sound of Music on NBC earlier this month. In the over 48 years since the original Julie Andrews-starring film hit theaters, it’s become an integral part of our cultural memory — an iconic film that’s been passed down from generation to generation. We hold that movie near and dear to our nostalgic hearts.
Regardless of how you felt about the remake’s end result — and 18.5 million of you tuned in — you probably would still opt for the original any day of the week. And while we’re appreciating the 1965 film, we’ve done a little digging to see what those von Trapp kids are up to all these years later (we don’t have to tell you about Maria and Georg, Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer are still killing it, thank god).
