Kevin Connolly had an entourage of a different sort recently when he was rushed to the hospital after a nasty accident on set. The actor, who plays manager Eric Murphy on the hit HBO series-turned-movie, broke his leg!
Telling E! News he suffered a “bad break” while on the set of the upcoming film, Kevin insists he’s “on the mend.” He doesn’t go into many more details, but E! reports the 40-year-old broke his left leg in two places — and Kevin shared a rather gruesome photo of his swollen and bruised foot, captioned “bangedup.com.”
What exactly was he doing? Just playing a little football with Seattle Seahawks quarterback and 2014 Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson.
But don’t be rushing to blame Russ, whom we really hope is making a cameo in the film. It sounds like the whole thing was just an accident and hasn’t held things up on the production end. Kevin has been filming while getting around on crutches and is set to make a full recovery in less time than it takes Johnny Drama to hatch a scheme.
Russ even posted a picture of himself and the busted up star looking buddy-buddy on March 24. “My man @kconnolly88 banged up after Running a perfect post route. When he gets healthy watch out Wes Welker! #ARealHeartGuy #WhiteLightning,” the QB wrote.
For the record, we know more than a few Hawks fans who would gladly break a limb to get that close to Russell Wilson.
