Teen Mom 3 Cancellation: MTV Confirms Series Not Returning For Season 2

By now you've probably heard the news: Teen Mom 3 has been cancelled after just one season of baby mama drama! We know, tears everywhere.

Mackenzie Douthit, Alexandria Sekella, Katie Yeager, and Briana Dejesus broke the news of Teen Mom 3's cancellation on Twitter, and MTV followed up with the following official statement:

“MTV will not be moving forwarding with a second season of Teen Mom 3. We’re thankful to Briana, Katie, Mackenzie, Alex and their families for sharing their stories as they navigate young parenthood and for helping to have a positive impact on the importance of teen pregnancy prevention.”

Sigh. While it's true that all good things come to an end, there's been plenty of speculation as to why Teen Mom 3 was put to bed. The consensus? Most people seem to think the show didn't bring in high enough ratings due to the lack of drama. Maybe the baby daddies just weren't deadbeat enough? Who knows, sob! The good news is that there's been further speculation about Mackenzie getting a spin-off show surrounding her new pregnancy. She and her baby daddy, Josh McKee, are seven months along, and we'd love to see their growing family hit the small screen!
