Fonzworth Bentley, host of the MTV reality series From G's to Gents, is now a proud papa.
The 39-year-old celeb told Us Weekly he and his wife Faune Chambers Watkins welcomed their first child, daughter Zoie Alecia Watkins, on July 30.
"Faune was in labor for 23 hours and pushed for four-and-a-half hours, all without pain meds," the proud father told Us. "There was no IV or anything. She did amazing and I'm so proud of her." Whew!
Fonzworth — whose birth name is Derrick Watkins — was Sean "P. Diddy" Combs's personal assistant, as seen in Making the Band 2, and E!'s Confessions of a Celebrity Assistant. He published a book in 2007 called Advance Your Swagger: How to Use Manners, Confidence and Style to Get Ahead, and he'll appear in the upcoming film Think Like a Man II. Fonzworth also has a single called "Everybody" featuring buddy Kanye West, who also just welcomed a baby girl.
"Talking about being fathers is our number one conversation now," Fonzworth told Us Weekly of Kanye. "It's awesome entering this next phase of life with a friend." Aww. They're like Jessica Simpson and Cacee Cobb, welcoming babies at the same time. Maybe we'll see photos of them pushing matching strollers down the sidewalk.
Congrats to Fonzworth, Faune and baby Zoie. May their lives together be as unique and wonderful as their names!
