Get this: Pop princess Britney Spears is originally from Mississippi. She’s a Southern belle, y’all! Now her little sister Jamie Lynn is tapping into the Spears family’s country roots for her latest project.
Jamie Lynn’s always had a musical inclination. She was working her way up in the entertainment biz as a teen star on Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 when, in 2007, she unexpectedly became pregnant at age 16. After giving birth to daughter Maddie Briann Aldridge in June 2008, Jamie Lynn dropped off the radar for awhile, moving home to Mississippi to raise her daughter.
Well, Jamie Lynn is back and the now 22-year-old decided to go country this time round. In her new single “How Could I Want More,” released November 25, Jamie Lynn sweetly sings about meeting a good guy but still wanting more.
“He’s got that kinda heart that / any girl would die for / So, how could I want more? / How could I want more?” the younger Spears sings over a gentle guitar rhythm.
Details about Jamie Lynn’s debut record are few and far between, but we do know she’ll be appearing alongside big sis Brit on the forthcoming album Britney Jean for the song “Chillin’ With You.” And after hearing “How Could I Want More,” we’re kinda hoping the sisters continue with the cool country vibe.
