Can we all agree that the 2008 Spice Girls reunion was way too short-lived? We don’t mean to be unappreciative fans — the tour was great! — but we would have loved to see the fabulous Brit gals record a whole new album, as well. Well, the group’s 20th anniversary (has it been that long?!) will happen next year, and Mel B is saying that another reunion may be in the works.
"It will be our 20th year anniversary next year so I'm hoping we do get together and do something," Mel B said to MTV News. "It kind of would be a shame if we didn't." We could not agree more. Make this happen!
But brace yourself, because if it does happen, we’re probably going to be down to four Spices instead of five — Victoria Beckham, the artist formerly known as “Posh,” recently disclosed to Vogue Paris that she’s ready to put her pop star days completely behind her.
"I realized it was finished for good in 2008, when we reformed for our reunion tour," she shared. "It should have been the best moment of my life, but I just wanted to be elsewhere. It wasn't a lack of respect for the girls or the audience, but the passion just wasn't there."
Ok, we totally get it. Victoria is super busy with her successful fashion lines, her four children, and — most importantly — her hot hubby David Beckham. It’s just not going to feel the same without her! No one could replace Posh, so hopefully the girls won’t try.
