If you haven't seen heartthrob Jared Leto's epic performance in Dallas Buyers Club, run, don't walk, to your nearest movie theater! Sure, Jared's been around since the early-'90s as both an actor and singer-songwriter with his band Thirty Seconds to Mars, but his portrayal in the film as a transgender HIV patient is a total game-changer for the 42-year-old talent. Also, can we just talk about the fact that he's 42? Like a fine wine, baby…

We're more curious than ever about the man behind those mysterious baby blues, and luckily we have some insider intel from the actor himself! Jared recently shared some of his favorite tunes and apps with us, and we're a bit surprised by his top pick.

Turns out, Jared is a huge fan of 17-year-old singer Lorde! "I'm sure you've heard about Lorde by now, but apart from being a phenomenon, the writing is poignant and beautiful," he says about the song "Tennis Courts." We couldn't agree more!

Jared's also digging Sky Ferreria's "You're Not the One" for its "sexy, '80s" quality, along with "Don't Save Me" by Haim, a group he has a personal connection to. "I've known of these girls for some time now and recently met them at some shows we played this year," he dishes. "They are bright, fun, and talented for days. Haim have something special."

And when he's not busy listening to pop music's edgiest teen queen (sorry, Miley!), turns out this hunk's doing the same thing we are — posting pics on Instagram, of course. "I started out as a visual artist before I did any other creative arts," he says, "so I love that Instagram is about photography and video. It allows me a chance to share my life, quick and easy, from my perspective. Find me: @jaredleto." Consider it done, J.

Jared's also a huge fan of a lot of same apps we're addicted to like Uber and Yelp — the only difference? He uses them while traveling around the world being fabulous. You know, NBD.

But Jared's also obsessing over lesser known app called Nest, which basically controls all your household settings like your thermostat. "I can come home from 2 months on tour, tap my Nest app in the car and have my house toasty for my arrival," he gushes. Uhm, is it getting hot in here?
