Yo Imagine Dragons. We’re really happy for you, and we’re gonna let you finish, but can you add more Kendrick Lamar to this remix?

Imagine Dragons may have been the featured performers on the most recent episode of Saturday Night Live (February 1), but all eyes were on Kendrick when the 26-year-old rapper joined the Las Vegas alt-pop band for a rousing encore performance of the “Radioactive” remix they performed on the 2014 Grammys. Kendrick’s rapid-fire verse over the band’s pounding bridge breathes new life into the 2013 single, which took home the Grammy for Best Rock Performance.

The track, “Radioactive (Remix),” was released after their electrifying Grammys performance, which Spin hailed as one of the best sets of the night. Kendrick may not have taken home any Grammys (a sad fact that even Grammys’ golden boy Macklemore knows is shameful) , but this Compton rapper is making waves in the industry.

Kendrick followed up his SNL appearance with a three-song set at Maxim’s “Big Game Weekend” event at New York City hotspot Espace. The rapper showed up a little after 1:30 a.m., wearing a green and blue parka with a fur hood. He stormed the stage to perform a few off his debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city, including “Swimming Pools (Drank)” and “m.A.A.d city.”
