Prepare to get all shook up when you see Bruno Mars impersonate Elvis Presley — at the "tender" age of four. Little Bruno truly was a treasure, wasn't he?
Bruno blew us all away during his spellbinding Super Bowl halftime performance over the weekend, as he performed all his big hits while wearing a shimmering gold outfit. But Bruno is no stranger to eye-catching garb, as this throwback news report proves.
Back in the early '90s, Bruno was interviewed by a Hawaii-based TV news show, which showed footage of him in a blue jumpsuit and with Elvis's hairdo as he performs The King's songs and hilariously mimics all of his iconic dance moves. The news segment refers to Bruno as the "world's youngest professional Elvis impersonator."
"When I was a baby, my dad wanted to call me Elvis," a young Bruno tells the news reporter. "So when he called me that, now looked what happened."
And what was it about Elvis that young Bruno liked so much? "I like his singing, his dancing, and his lip," Bruno says back in the day, then launching into a spot-on impression of Elvis's famous lip curl. Too funny!
Are you surprised that Bruno used to impersonate Elvis as a child?
