It’s been a dramatic couple of days for Beyoncé and Jay Z, who saw the family troubles between Jay and Bey’s sis Solange play out across the media. But now the First Couple of Hip Hop has something positive to celebrate: They lead the pack in the 2014 BET Awards nominations, with a combined eight nods, four per spouse!

Beyoncé is nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration for “Drunk In Love" with Jay, and Video of the Year twice for "Partition" and "Drunk In Love". In addition to their two shared noms, Jay Z nabbed noms for Best Collaboration with Justin Timberlake and Best Male Hip Hop Artist.

Other notable standouts from the worlds of music, TV, and film? For music, that would be the so-hot-right-now Ariana Grande who is up for Best New Artist, her collaborator Iggy Azalea for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, and our fav shady lady Tamar Braxton who’s competing with Bey for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist. On the thespian front, there’s The Wire alums Michael B. Jordan and Idris Elba up for Best Actor, and Gabrielle Union and Kerry Washington holding it down on TV as Best Actress nominees.

The awards show, which also honors athletes and international musical acts, will air live at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre on June 29.
