Update (June 2, 2014):

Sounds like Lily Allen may have just been pulling our leg about that whole potential Game of Thrones cameo. Her brother tells Vulture his sis was actually never offered the role of Yara!

“The only thing I’m going to say on that is that it’s not true," he says. “And also that Gemma Whalen was always their first choice for the part. And she’s fantastic. And that’s the only thing I’m going to say about that.” Uh-oh! Do we detect a hint of sibling fighting?

Original story (May 14, 2014):

Lily Allen has no trouble faking oral sex on stage (well, until she became a mom) but there’s one sexy line she refuses to cross even for the sake of Game of Thrones.

Popping by for a reddit AMA earlier this week, Lily said she was actually approached for a role on the hit HBO show. She decided to pass though seeing as taking the part of Yara Greyjoy would have brought her much too close to her brother, Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy.

Already put the pieces together, devoted GoT fans? Yep, it’s the scene that introduces us to Yara that Lily had in mind when she said “thanks but no thanks” to HBO. In the clip, a cocky Theon (this is before his, um, run-in with Ramsay Snow) has just arrived home at Pyke. He sees a pretty girl and invites her along for a ride, which, being Theon, means getting felt up along the way.

“They asked me if I’d be interested in playing Theon’s sister,” Lily said on reddit. “I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and s—t. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks.”

Totally understand that. No need to go all real-life Lannister.

Don’t count Lily out from any GoT cameos though. She adds, “I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though.” Perhaps “Gentle Mother, Font of Mercy” with a Sheezus spin?
