Move along, folks. Nothing to see here — at least that's what Iggy Azalea seems to be saying.
The Internet blew up (as it tends to do) after Nicki Minaj apparently "threw shade" at Iggy Azalea during her acceptance speech at the BET Awards on June 29. She didn't exactly mention Iggy by name, but most people took her comments as an insult to the up-and-coming rapper.
Luckily, Iggy posted a screenshot of a note she wrote on Instagram, which appears to clear up the air between the two.
"I have to say the general explosion of pettiness online in the last few days is hard to ignore and honestly…lame," the message reads. "If I had won the BET award that would've been great but it wasn't my year and I don't mind -- so you shouldn't either."
She then goes on to address the supposed shade.
"Generally speaking, I'm unbothered by anything that "happened" at the BET awards and just feel worn out by everyone trying to make me have wars with people all the time. Anyone who wishes me well is welcome in my life and those who don't can't get any more of my time."
"I hate to see everyone exhausting themselves on my behalf over things that I'm still not 100% sure even exist and don't matter," the singer concluded, "Just let it go."
We will, Iggy. Just remember, the Internet will always believe what it wants to believe.
