Luke Bryan just found out the hard way that concert stages do have a sudden drop-off point.
The country star with the hit song "I Don't Want This Night to End" was probably wanting the night of May 29 to end when he took a tumble off the stage of his concert in Charlotte, NC — as you can see in the video below.
The 37-year-old singer was treating the concertgoers packed into the PNC Music Pavilion to a rendition of the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis hit "Can't Hold Us" when he made one small step into thin air… resulting in one giant leap toward the floor below.
Security guards rushed to his aid, he recovered, and he even finished the song after returning to his upright position. Atta boy!
"The last time I was in North Carolina, I busted my ass on stage. What is it about North Carolina that makes me bust my ass?" he quipped. "Please YouTube that s—t."
Your wish was one cell phone videographer's command, Luke!
The mishap wasn't entirely a laughing matter, however — as TMZ reports that the triple-platinum crooner ended up needing a few stitches on his leg. But Luke is pressing on with his That's My Kind of Night Tour, taking the stage tonight (May 30) in Bristow, VA.
We're assuming he'll be a little leery of the edge of the stage when he does so.
