"Here I go, here I go, here I go again…" Do these lyrics ring a bell? If they do, you’re probably getting a little nostalgic thinking about Cheryl James “Salt," Sandra Denton “Pepa," and Deidra Roper “DJ Spinderella," who formed the legendary all-female hip hop group Salt-n-Pepa in 1985. The original name for the crew was “Super Nature” but the trio officially changed it to Salt-n-Pepa after their hit single The Showstopper.

These girls seriously knew how to "Push It" with major hits like “Shoop” and “Whatta Man” featuring En Vogue. Their records produced tons of hits and the women became known for their sexy attire and provocative lyrics. The group went on tour and Pepa married Naughty by Nature’s Treach in 1999, but they called it quits after two years.

Although Salt-n-Pepa broke up in 2002, they've since reformed, performed, and toured together.

Check the video out above to see what the hip hop ladies have been up to since their Shoop days!
