Nashville is bringing back most of your favorites for Season 5.

Rumor has it A-listers like Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, who play Rayna Jaymes and Juliette Barnes respectively, will be back for the CMT revival as will much of the remaining cast.

TVLine reports Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen, Lennon and Maisy Stella, and Chris Carmack are set to return.

This means we haven’t said goodbye to the characters of Deacon Claybourne, Gunnar Scott, Avery Barkley, Scarlett O’Connor, Maddie Conrad, Daphne Conrad, and Will Lexington just yet.

However, Will Chase and Aubrey Peeples — who respectively play Luke Wheeler and Layla Grant — unfortunately won’t be back.

Lionsgate declined to comment on this casting news, though.

Perhaps the most surprising return is that of former Heroes star Hayden, who entered rehab for postpartum depression for the second time around the time ABC cancelled the country music series.

Additionally, the fate of her on-screen persona was left up in the air (quite literally) as her plane lost contact with ground control in what was then considered the series finale.

The 22-episode pickup will answer the question of what the outcome of that last-minute twist is.
