You bet your bottom dollar Nashville is new! And yes, we know that “The Sun’ll Come Out Tomorrow” is now stuck in your head. You’re welcome. But as for Nashville’s first ever season finale (you know, cuz it’s the first season) — “I’ll Never Get Out of This World Alive” — there’s a lot going on and we would hate for you to miss even a second of it.

So, what’s happening in the episode? A lot, guys. Um, but we don’t really know. Like, at all. Well, sort of. Ya know what we mean? One minute we hear that people are dying, and then it’s like “how do you top Crazy/Beautiful’s death?!” so who knows.

Here’s what ABC teases will happen, in the most abstract language possible:

A shadow has been cast over country music's biggest night: Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) discovers a letter from Jolene (Sylvia Jefferies) revealing her mother's true feelings; Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon’s (Charles Esten) fairytale evening at the CMA Awards, even performing with Brad Paisley — who guest stars as himself — may not end in a happily-ever-after; and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) will do whatever it takes to win Scarlett’s (Clare Bowen) heart back — but is it too late? Meanwhile the U.S. Attorney's office is closing in on Teddy (Eric Close), and Peggy returns with a secret of her own.

Shadows and letters and secrets — oh my! It seems like a very shrouded episode will be upon us. All we know is that the show will be back for Season 2, which means that while they will certainly try and tie up some things, a whole new box of crazy will have to be opened at some point during the show. Guesses as to what’s inside?

Tune in to ABC for the Nashville Season 1 Finale, “I’ll Never Get Out of This World Alive,” at 10/9C TONIGHT, May 22, 2013. Then, share your feelings about the episode below.
