On Season 2, Episode 3 of Nashville, Rayna James (Connie Britton) revealed that she can no longer sing like she was once able to. Thanks to all those tubes doctors put down her throat after that nasty car crash (ya know, to keep her alive and stuff) the songstress’s vocal chords are now seriously damaged.

While we have an inkling that the leading lady of Nashville will sing again, in the promo for Season 2, Episode 4 of the hit ABC drama — “You’re No Angel Yourself” — Rayna decides to cancel her joint tour with Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere).

“You have got to be kidding me, this sucks!” Juliette exclaims upon hearing the bad news.

Still, the country princess is determined to change her sound to something a little more sophisticated, once again declaring that she’s “not a tween” and has no desire to do “overproduced numbers” anymore.

Even though canceling the tour must have been rough on Rayna as well, things only get worse for the superstar when her daughter Maddie Conrad (Lennon Stella) goes missing during a fancy party. “I hate both of you!” the teen screams at her parents before Rayna says, “My little girl is gone.”

We have no idea where Maddie’s disappeared to, but we secretly hope that she seeks some advice from biological dad Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten). Those two have some serious father-daughter bonding to do!

Nashville Season 2, Episode 4: “You’re No Angel Yourself” airs on Wednesday, October 16 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
