Yes, Rayna and Deacon's relationship is central to Nashville, but that doesn't mean we don't miss Rayna's sexy dynamic with Liam McGuinness (Michiel Huisman). The pair share an easy bond that is fun to watch, and we have to admit — if Rayna is going to be apart from Deacon, we'd rather see her get down and dirty with Liam than Luke Wheeler, who we don't entirely trust. But is he likely to be coming back anytime soon?

While there hasn't been any recent news about Liam's future on Nashville one way or the other, there are a few recent updates about Michiel's career that curious Liam fans should know about.

First, HBO's Treme, which Michiel also starred on, recently came to an end. You'd think that would mean some more time in his schedule, but not so fast — Michiel is in demand these days. Game of Thrones scooped him up to replace Ed Skrein in the role of sexy sellsword Daario in the upcoming Season 4, and it was recently announced that he's been upped to series regular for the show's fifth season, which means we can expect him to be overseas filming for a good chunk of next year. Plus, Michiel also snagged a recurring role on Orphan Black Season 2.

This is great news for us, because we love both Game of Thrones and Orphan Black, but it does make us worry about Liam's future. Actors often juggle many roles, so none of this means Liam can't be back, but if Michiel's career keeps taking off like this, we have a feeling we'll be seeing his handsome face on Nashville less and less.

What do you think: Will Liam be back, or is Michiel too busy these days? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
