Nashville roared back from it’s winter hiatus last night with Season 2, Episode 11 (“I’ll Keep Climbing”), and we learned that it was indeed Peggy (Kimberly Williams-Paisley), not Will (Chris Carmack) who bit the dust in the midseason finale. There was drama aplenty, with Scarlett (Clare Bowen) blowing off Kelly Clarkson and Juliette’s (Hayden Panettiere) potentially career-ending zinger, but next week’s episode is looking up.

In Season 2, Episode 12 (“Just For What I Am”), Gunnar (Sam Palladio) is getting to write with Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus while Scarlett gets to perform on-stage with Zac Brown himself. Talk about A-list talent! With these two young whippersnappers finding wild success, things aren’t going too well for Juliette. First her show gets cancelled and then Jeff Fordham (Oliver Hudson) calls her “trailer trash.” With Avery (Jonathan Jackson) busting in the room to find the young diva passed out on the bed, it’s safe to say we’re worried.

Meanwhile, Rayna (Connie Britton) comes to the a-ha realization that her new record needs some “Deacon magic” and enlists her former flame to help her write a hit, you know, just like the good ol’ times. We expect things to heat up between this pair, and we’re beyond ready for it.

Do you think Juliette will be OK? Are you excited for the famous guest stars? Hit the comments and let us know!

Nashville airs Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
