Nashville has this funny way of hooking us in and then tossing us back out into the murky abyss for a week (or more) at a time. But while we’re waiting for the return of our beloved show (which comes back tomorrow!), let’s talk about what’s going to happen next.
The last time we saw Liam (Michiel Huisman), he was kissing Rayna (Connie Britton) in shockingly close proximity to a toilet. But because that wasn’t enough intimacy for the producing pair, he’s ba-ack, and it looks like he wants to whisk Rayna away from her troubling life and off into the woods. Everyone else is kind of being a jerk, in our humble opinions. Check it before they wreck it:
Liam invites Rayna to run away with him to finish her album, and Deacon (Charles Esten) is surprised by his own reaction, as well as Stacey’s (Susan Misner) accusations; Jolene (Sylvia Jefferies) warns Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) about Dante’s (Jay Hernandez) loyalty, which only drives the two women further apart; Teddy (Eric Close) faces off with Peggy (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) about the leaks, and in the wake of her father's illness, Tandy (Judith Hoag) proposes a new alliance to Coleman (Robert Wisdom). Meanwhile Gunnar (Sam Palladio) tries out some new music, and Avery (Jonathan Jackson) and Scarlett (Clare Bowen) reconnect.
