We must admit, it took us a bit to warm up to Teddy (Eric Close). Then he told Rayna (Connie Britton) why he married her (“You dazzle me”) in Nashville Season 1, Episode 4, “We Live in Two Different Worlds,” and the stiff would-be politician kinda won us over.

But then, oh, Teddy. He got into a Deep Throat-style conversation with Peggy (Kimberly Williams-Paisley), and we were no longer voting for him, for mayor or as Rayna’s husband. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kimberly Williams-Paisley promises we haven’t seen the last of this mysterious society lady.

”There’s definitely a lot of history with Teddy,” says Kimberly. “You’re going to find out that Peggy and Teddy made some decisions that they shouldn’t have made and did some things that they shouldn’t have done, and it’s going to get them into some trouble.” Hm, like “burning docments” trouble, or like “I have a secret love child” trouble?

Either way, Teddy won’t be able to shake his blast from the past quite yet. “Peggy still kind of holds onto Teddy in her heart,” Kimberly says.

Well, we can pretty much say the same for Deacon (Charles Esten) and Rayna, can’t we?
