Curl up by the fire, children of the Internet, and let’s remember that moment in Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe when Scarlett (Clare Bowen) was all “what are you doing?” and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) was like “I’m kissing you. Duh.” Okay, so it didn’t go down exactly like that, but you smell our baked beans. Since then, they’ve been making music and acting friendly. But will they take the next step forward in Season 1, Episode 12 "I've Been Down That Road Before"?
According to the official synopsis, our favorite not-quite-couple are about to get even closer, but it might not be in the way you think. Word is, Scarlett’s having money troubles and Gunnar comes to her rescue somehow. No, he doesn’t pay her to clean his house in only her cowboy boots or anything. Rather, it looks like the two are moving in together. But is it romantic?
Although we are dying for it to be a love story for the ages, we’re worried about what might happen if they move too quickly. Two thoughts: first, they are likely just moving in for financial reasons, meaning the whole house’s zip code could be within the friend zone and nothing will ever happen. Second, if they do end up hooking up, things will get overly intense very quickly — living together, writing together, playing music together? Brain exploding.
What will Avery do when he finds out this is happening? Is it really happening? What does it mean? Weigh in below.
