By now, you probably already know that all the actors on Nashville really do sing all their songs, the cast has a few albums under its shiny belt buckle, and Sam Palladio (Gunnar Scott) should probably get on the next plane and come serenade us in our bedrooms. But before you go thinking that that last one is just a pipe dream (stop trying to ruin our lives, jerk), we have to ask: are there plans to send the stars on a little singing tour a la Glee?

Good news, guys. Although nothing has been set in stone, Lionsgate (the company that produces Nashville) President Kevin Beggs recently told The Hollywood Reporter that this isn’t just our latest fantasy bound to be dashed on the rough rocks of reality. In fact, the musical merchandising aspect was actually what sold the producing group on the show.

With Nashville, the music piece was the differentiator,” Kevin explains. “The music's going to be meaningful to both us and ABC this year, and long term we hope for touring and merchandising and all the things that forebears like Glee and American Idol have done so effectively.”

(Faints. The end.)
