Whew! This Nashville episode might be a doozie. First of all, we’re not sure yet if this is leading into a season finale, or if it’s just the beginning of all the drama to come (ABC has posted synopses for other shows thru the end of February, but only thru Feb 13 for Nashville). No matter, Season 1, Episode 13, “There’ll Be No Teardrops Tonight,” is sure to make viewers forget about the cozy Bluebird 2-top they were sitting at when they met the cast for the first time.

Why? Because, as we see in Season 1, Episode 12, “I’ve Been Down That Road Before, there’s no love lost between country queen Rayna (Connie Britton) and her hothead husband, Teddy (Eric Close). And no matter what does or doesn’t happen between her and Deacon (Charles Esten) once he joins Juliette’s (Hayden Panettiere) tour, it’s not going to do anything good for her marriage. And speaking of Juliette, she obviously hasn’t learned to listen to anyone but herself, because she’s about to go waaaay off script and we’ll have to wait and see how that goes. Here’s the official synopsis, compliments of ABC:

Rayna finds comfort in the arms of an old friend after revealing to Daphne and Maddie her plans to divorce. Juliette is invigorated by the response to her new sound and takes steps to reinvent herself — against the guidance of her management. Things are looking up for Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) when Rayna makes an offer to sign them to her label. While their hard work begins to show signs of success, Avery (Jonathan Jackson) struggles to find his old sound and is forced to consider an attractive offer.
