There’s a lot to love about Nashville (Connie Britton’s hair, for one), but the music is what stays with us for days afterwards. Case in point: Yet another amazing duet from Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) in Season 1, Episode 3, “Someday You’ll Call My Name.”

This one was a lot more casual than open mic night at the Bluebird Cafe, but their rendition of “I Will Fall” was pretty amazing, nonetheless. Then Avery (Jonathan Jackson) walked in and things got a little awkward.

We feel for the guy, but we wanted to hear the whole song! The song was written by Tyler James and Kate York. James told American Songwriter, “We knew they were looking for songs for the show and Kate has known Buddy Miller for a while, so she sent over this home recording we did. Buddy has been helping select and produce songs for Nashville with T Bone Burnett, and they both really loved this one. So within 30 minutes of listening, the song was placed. Then a couple days later…The actors were tracking it.”

Tyler and Kate’s version is pretty incredible, too. Listen below!
